Anthopogon oil is obtained from the steam distillation of the ariel portions of Rhododendron anthopogon. The plant is an evergreen shrubs 2-4 feet tall growing at an altitude of 10,000-16,000 feet. The leaves of anthopogon are aromatic and used locally as an incense. Also known as Sunpati oil, this oil is good natural source of sweet herbal, faint balsamic essence.
